Brynteg Books is constantly striving to make it as easy as possible for you to find all the information you need about resources for your school. So we've expanded what's on offer and also tried to keep it easy to use.

It's a tricky balance catering for everyone since you each have different needs. We hope we've struck the right balance by creating zones. Teachers, bursars and librarians each have your own zones where we'll provide resources and information specific to you. If you're looking for content or ideas within textbooks, fiction or non-fiction take a look at the Inspire, Stimulate and Excite zones. These zones are new and we're looking to expand them to your needs so get in touch with us and let us know what you want if you don't see it. (We'd also be glad to hear from you if you like what you see.)

We've also introduced a new way to search for books: Detailed Search. This gives you the flexibility to search by subject, specific education level (e.g. key stage 3) and so on. See this on the Other Searches panel.

What's new?

Online Order Tracking

You can now check the progress of your online orders from placing your order to the moment it is delivered to your school.

Log in to ‘My Account’ and click on ‘My Orders’. Here you will see a list showing any order you have placed online since March 2010.

It is listed by the web order number and gives your order reference and the date the order was placed. If you click on the web order number, you will reveal itemised details of that order, and the status of each item.

There are 4 possible status:

On Order  - we have received and processed your order and are awaiting for stock from the relevant publisher

In Stock - we have the books in stock and are processing the order

Invoiced, Awaiting Despatch – the books have been processed and are ready for despatch

Invoiced, Despatched – the books have been despatched with a 1-2 day delivery courier.

Once the books have been despatched, you can check their exact whereabouts by checking the courier website, using the consignment number shown.

For books that have not yet left us, you will see a message explaining the reason for the delay, be it Out of Print or Out of Stock at the publishers etc.

Of course, you can always call us on 01242 604408 for an update too, but we hope this function will be useful to our online customers and should help save you time.

Other Functionality

You can search for books, make booklists, place orders as you did before and all with exactly the same account details. We have kept this as close to the old functionality as possible, with just a slight change in orientation and a few improvements, so you should be able to log on and use your account as quickly and easily as before.

Detailed Search

Another improved feature is the Detailed Search. If you're looking for books and you want the flexibility to search more than just the title, author & publisher, this is for you. You may also want to read the hints & tips on Detailed Search.

Features

We have 3 new Zones Teacher, Librarian and Bursar and we want to fill these with things that are useful, relevant and interesting to you. We've made a start but your feedback and suggestions will help us to make these areas your own.

The other new areas are filled with regularly updated book resources:

Stimulate - is packed with non-fiction titles

Excite - brings you fiction selections to light up the imagination
